January Recipe of the Month

 

 The First Annual Nice Girls’ Tea & Cookie Swap was a SWEET success – goodies from around the world and some pretty cool nice girls too.  Thanks Alice for hosting our first cookie swap! 

Here's one of the recipes we enjoyed.

Aunt Bonnie's Gold Medals from Kristen (KNOB)
makes 30 cookies

 - 1 c Butter

- 1 c White Sugar

- 1 c Brown

- 1c+2TFlour

- 3 c Quaker Quick Oatmeal

- 1/2 c Wheatgerm

- 1 t Baking Soda

- 1 t Baking Powder

- 1/2 t Salt

- 2 Eggs

- 1 t Vanilla

- 1 1/2 c Golden raisins

- 1 1/2 c Pecans (ground) 

Drop onto cookie sheet by tablespoon drops.  Bake 350ºF for 20 mins (or until edges are brown). Leave a bit chewy in the center.
